I am an art-loving, Shakespeare-quoting, full-time eccentric tea junkie with a deep, potentially unhealthy love of reading, drawing and writing, to the point of using my own body as a space to sketch out my thoughts and scribble poetry or story ideas when I can't access a computer or I run out of paper. I eat fruits and vegetables by the truckload and play piano when bored and the ocarina when fidgety. In another life, I think I might have been a typewriter.

Well, I have sad news. My betta passed away. I'd been expecting the health issues, to be honest, but only so far as that he'd be slowing down since he was almost 2 and had been battling a tumor at his dorsal fin for months (and had otherwise never shown any issues until recently). About 2 weeks ago, he started changing colour to become slightly brown, and as this was a possible symptom of velvet, I dosed the tank with Paraguard according to directions, added a bit of Stressgaurd, upped water changes to twice a week, and tried to fortify his diet with more vitamins to help.
